Are your fbg higher than you would like or expect them to be?
Higher fbg can be due to the Dawn Phenoma (Liver dump) and has little to do with what was eaten the evening before.
You probably know what a Liver Dump is but just in case, this is a normal process that happens just before we wake or as we wake. The liver dumps glucose into the bloodstream to give us the energy to start our day. This can gappen any time during the day when we hhavn't eaten for a few hours such as when we sleep. Where the problem lies for we with T2 is the liver can dump a little too much glucose for too long causing raised levels which we see on our meters. Hope this helps.
