Hi everybody
Just received my latest lab test results.
I am really pleased with my HbA1c score, which has improved from 5.7 to 5.4
but I am a bit concerned about the fact that my lipid panel shows only marginal improvement despite having increased medication from 20mg to 30mg Crestor during the last 6 weeks .
Total cholesterol improved from 4.8 to 4.6
LDL cholesterol improved from 3.3 to 3.2
HDL cholesterol improved from 0.8 to 0.9
Tiglycerides improved from 1.42 to 1.16
I know my doctor would like to see LDL fall below 2.6 so I am a bit short of that. I will see him next week and I hope he will not insist on increasing statins further. I would like to try for further improvement through tighter dietery control first. I was on holiday in the UK a couple of weeks ago (yes, the weather was terrible :shock: :roll: ) and I did let my control sluck a bit .
