I have just learned that diabetics and pregnant women should avoid lavender products! Is this true and why? Can anyone help please?

Well I have used lavender all through my pregnancies and never experienced any problems.

I'm presently smearing my insect bites with lavender oil, also grow lots in the garden.

Not dead yet! On the other hand, not pregnant either :wink:

I also use lavender oil on bites and have a lavender hedge which I also pick a head or 2 as I go past to rub together and I love the smell I have 4 children No probs :lol:

This controversy arose some years ago but it is only related to a pregnant woman being massaged or using lavender oil in the first trimester.
