LCHF worries

Ok so week one done. I've lost 2.4 lb and 3.5cm from around my middle

Well at first not a lot but then I thought about it and if I keep this rate up I could be at my ideal weight by May lol and the last two years of low fat dieting added up to a total weight loss of F all lol. So I would say I'm very happy and let's see what next week brings

Jolly good.

You will have weeks when the weight seems to stick and some spectacular losses, so like most eating plans, don't necessarily expect a linear loss pattern.

Turvell - you arrived on the forum some time ago (before your recorded December 13 profile), if I recall correctly, and since, it feels to me, like you have been looking for the "but" in every piece of advice and suggestion that has been made for you. Whilst I completely agree with Mike that we are not the final arbitors of what works, or doesn't, we are people living with conditions similar to your own, but some of us are a bit further along the track.

I suggest you read two threads posted yesterday:

http://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/thr...le-on-cholesterol-by-a-vascular-sugeon.70173/

http://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/thr...slim-for-life-from-the-times-10-1-2015.70171/

It would also be useful for you to read Professor Sikaris' presentation on what your blood results really mean:

The YouTube is a 27 minute presentation, but it is worth every minute.

It is becoming clearer and clearer that in weight, diabetes, cholesterol, cardiovascular disease and so many other areas fat is not the big baddie. The big baddie is carbohydrate and sugar.

Thank you for this YouTube link
I have just watched it and found it very interesting:
- The info regarding tests is good.
- Backs up Dr Berstein's diet.
- His own life experience.
- All in all encouraging.
I shall be sending the link by email to friends.
Thanks a lot for sharing it.

It is not a race, not unless you are aiming to look good in a bikini on a holiday beach.

Slowly but surely, and it will slow down, is just fine.

I would not be pretty on a bikkin lol cross dressing never really suited me lol
