Learning the Guitar...

My other half recent bought an alto sax to learn, at the same time i got my guitar actually (got a Takamine G series in the end btw!)

She paid about £250 i think for a starter pack, its a nice sax adn she got a delux (hard) case with it, a stand, neck strap, cleaning pack, mouthpeice, reeds, and a book!

She just bought a new mouth peice for £75 (reasonably cheap for a mouthpeice) but it's much better than the one she got with it.

If you want the link for the site that she got it from PM me and i'll send it to you.

Been playing the guitar for a couple of months now, I did change the strings for a lower gauge (10) but didn't like the loss of bass that they gave. So i upgraded to D'Addrio EXP strings at 11gauge. They still feel lighter on my fingers and the sound they make is delicious! It was originally strung with D'Addrio EXP strings but i think the stock stings where 12gauge.
Been learning a few tunes to strum along with laura when she plays the Sax. We can play Stand By Me together, and American Pie together, and Bvld of Broken Dreams together. My brother-in-law taught me Muse-Unintended to pick.... learnt loads of tunes but those are the favs so far :D

Hi stu
My other half has just started to play electric guitar,
He used to play in a band, but 7 years ago he suffered severe depression and burn out!
Hwe is having to relearn everything he used to do off top of his head!
He says the worst bit is, if your fingers are cold the wires will feel like cheese wire against them!
