My latest odd restaurant invitation: Lebanese (tomorrow night).
Are there any diabetic dos and don'ts with Lebanese cuisine? (apart from don't go to the restaurant)

Lebanese is NICE. Plenty of nice veg and meat dishes. Obviously, avoid the deserts - but stuff like Aubergine, and mince is REALLY nice...

Many thanks for this, Sid and Patch -- good to know for the future. Alas I didn't make it to the restaurant. Had a bad hypo out of the blue late afternoon, staggered back to room, and then when I took my shoes off I found one foot soaked in blood. That made it Diabetes 2 Me 0. Not a good day.

Thanks Fraddycat -- I reckon it's mostly an even contest but this day diabetes had me beat. Tomorrow I'm going to smash its face in. :lol:
