Hi there,

my daughter is 4.5 year old and was being diagnosed to be a type 1 diabetes just about one month ago and we are giving her insulin twice per day. she has been slowly gaining weight and being active and happy again. But just these pass three day, she has been talking about her leg being fatigue and cannot really walk or stand for too long. I am wondering if this is related to the insulin she took, I cannot imagine her being too tired or lack of sleep, we have regular meals , regular sleep and regular activity. So her leg or muscle cannot be tired. I am quite sure this is not behavior .

Has anyone has the Same experience or can shed some light on this, she is also queuing to see dr as she was also diagnosed in her blood to be highly positive to have the celiac disease.

Hmm.thanks for that. But her sugar level wasn't high these few days. I think it was the bad circulation of blood at her legs.any suggestion on know how to improve?

I hope she feels better soon. I always find mine feel better after I have been swimming but swimming also brings my levels down so it might be due to that. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hi Kien

The problem with untreated coeliac disease is that you are not absorbing enough nutrition from the food you are eating, which makes you very tired. Unfortunately, you need to keep on eating gluten until they have done the tests, or they won't be able to give you a diagnosis.

I hope your daughter doesn't have to wait to long for this. I felt really unwell in the months running up to diagnosis, but improved dramatically within days of going on a gluten-free diet.

Yes..i know i asked the dr if in the mean time cam she has gluten free diet. And the answer is a no. And we cannot be sure if she has celiac disease. Well next Tuesday is her first appointment. Not sure when and how long is the test. I would hate that of the exam and results will come after weeks
