LETTER FROM CONSULTANT TO GP !!!!!!!

As some of you know I had an appointment with a diabetic consultant (10/11/08). After looking at my notes for 10 minutes he noticed, unlike my GP has over the last 10 months, that i am actually a type 1 diabetic and my sugar levels only came down after I went on to insulin.

He sent me a copy of the letter that he sent to my GP and oh boy, wow, what a letter. I've never seen anyone so professionally ripped to pieces with words in all my life. I was absolutely crying with laughter. He highlighted the points that I have spoken to him about in the past and sarcastically asked why he has done nothing about it. I've had a severe restriction on test strips, like many others on this site, but I don't think this will be an issue from now on.

I've now got all the appointments I need and within a short space of time and it just feels so good that he, (GP), is getting some well deserved pay back in the slating he has received in the letter.

Regards :D :D :D :D :D

SarahQ, Yes you're right I was going to change GP's but the 2 other practices near me are full at present and not taking any new patients so i'm between a rock and a hard place so i'll have to put up with him for a bit longer unfortunately.

Regards

A well done you for both you and your consultant

Well done you for holding on in there and getting your rightfull dignosises

And well done to the consultant by putting a doctor right....

I hope you Dr takes that letter to heart, & other patients benefit, Hazey.

When I went to the firm's Dr for hernia after my GP insisted my abdominal bulge was due to piles (without examining me), he simply said, "Your GP is entitled to his opinion."

Even when its wrong, & MY health is suffering

He did refer me to hospital, though. GP said he would be wasting the consultant's time. That repair is holding 30 years on.

Oh Well done!
I hope that he doesn't rry to get his own back.
