Levemir Basil Amounts

Hi, I am on Levemir long term insulin, i split it in the morning and evening. My query is, in the evening i take 9 units and in the monring i only take 3 units as i would be more active - but does this seem a little different to other poeple, most people seem to have a 50:50 split ?

As long as it keeps your bg steady it doesn't matter what the split is, 50/50 is only a rough guide and you obviously know what your doing so don't worry.

I split mine 20 in morning and 32 at night

I'm 3.5 in the morning 4.5 at night.

ALthough yours seems a bot more of an extreme split than others the general pattern is the same. Have you basal tested to make sure it's the right sort of dose?

Yep, and during the day with no lunch, I pretty much stay around 5.5
