Type 1 Libre 2 not scanning on first scan

It’s happening lots now so I want to know if it’s

A: problems with the sensor
B: problems with my ‘phone.

I scan my arm and it beeps and vibrates but when I check my ‘phone there’s no result. I then try a second time and there is. It’s a bit of a pain as I work at a school and one beep I can pretty much get away with while their heads are down working, two and heads pop up wondering why I’m rubbing my arm with my ‘phone. I had advice last week on cleaning the screen from one of them, and to use polish like her Dad and not my sleeve.

Morning conniecar. I have the same experience when scanning with my phone. Happens most times I scan. I am currently using the reader because I am getting signal loss alarms constantly

Hi @conniecar I hope you don't mind me intruding on what's obviously a Type 1 issue.
You don't say what age the kids a, but I think that there should be no stigma for any diabetic and that all diabetics should try to be more open about their condition.
There are so darned many of us and unless we are more open about who we are then people will continue to have unjustified attitudes toward us.

I have a Type 1 fried ( no CGM) who goes off to the toilet to test. Back when I needed to test (for glucose raising effect of meals) , I just did it openly even in a restaurant. Likewise when I request a substitution for a carby item on a menu I tell them I'm a diabetic using a low carb diet to control my Blood Sugar levels and that is why I want the substitution. {perhaps I have been lucky, but I've never had a poor reaction to this.

Oh I was just being silly. The days of me hiding are long gone. The kids know and just accept it but to be honest, when you’re 9 you don’t care

Neither has mine, I switched my phone off, no change, then I tried to re download the app and the app isn't available now :(. On hols, now finger pricks only :).
