With all the, shall I say, disquiet with Libres and Abbott I have considered the features of both the Libre 2 plus and the Dexcom ONE + purely as I see them. I swapped from Libre 2 plus around two months ago simply because of the price and I wanted to see my readings on my Apple Watch. I did have Libres fail but only a handful in three years of use (initially with Libre 2 then 2 plus). So far I have had no failures with the Dexcom ONE +.

Thanks @Rachox , I’ve also been wondering about swapping. One minor alteration to your table able car play is also available from a libre using third party software.

How does the size of the two compare? Do you know if your medical team can see the dexcom software as they can with the libre?

@Lakeslover , I never used third party software so didn’t know about Libre and Car Play so thanks for adding that piece of info.

The Dexcom ONE + which is sort of pear shaped, at 24mm x 27.3 mm x 4.6m, is smaller than the Libre 2 plus which is circular, at 35mm diameter and 5mm high.

I don’t send data to my health care team but I have read about a ‘follow’ feature which I gather is for family or HCPs.

Might be worth adding location for sensor insertion difference: back of upper arm only for libre where as dexcom one+ both abdomen and back of upper arm. Libre also has report date section can choose differing timescales i guess its more default options for the dexcom? how do the apps compare detail wise?

There is more data available for Dexcom ONE + in the sister app Clarity, similar to LibreView for the Libre 2 plus. There are all of these reports to choose from covering ranges from 2 to 90 days.

Yes your Diabetes team can see your dexcom readings - there is Dexcom clinic - your diabetes team give you their clinic code which you enter into the app and then they can see your data. Im not 100% sure of how much stuff they see yet as I've only recently done this.
