Libre on nhs?

Has anyone heard about getting libre patches and scanners on NHS?

My surgery is now prescribing the sensors, which are being fulfilled by my local pharmacist who actually asked me why I wasn't getting them on prescription. Not sure about the scanners though.

Ahhhhh
So its just the patches?
I herd u can use your phone to scan but not sure how that would work

I can only assume that the reader would have to be prescribed the first time.

There is a phone app that can be used, GLIMP is one but I've read you can't start the sensor with the app, it needs the reader. That information needs checking because I've also read that the GLIMP app will read for more than 14 days if the sensor is started with the app, so some conflicting info on the net, there's a surprise. I expect there will be someone on this forum with a better answer.

There is also a FreeStyle LibreLink mobile app designed to work with FreeStyle Libre Sensors.

Personally, I have a Miaomiao which is attached to the sensor (double sided sticky) which scans every 5 minutes and sends the data to a mobile app I have called Xdrip. Almost a CGM.
