Well here we are 2018 i thought i would have a look back on 2017 and see what has happened, in 2016 i had 62 appointments with some kind of medical team and i am pleased to say that in 2017 i have had 67 so well done me beating my own record i think Mrs May may have me killed to ease the health budget. I did learn that even though i am not a diabetic after my SPK transplant that my body can still tell me when my BS is low like a hypo which is always good to know. It has been a tough year starting with a cancer scare in my throat in which one doctor wanted to take a tonsil out and another said it was something on my voice box, so i had a op and there was nothing there happy days. Next up was the pain that is always there so they thought a lidocaine infusion would help which it does for about ten days as it makes the pain a bit more numb, so i have to go back this month to see the doctor to see what we can do. Then there was my never ending bowel problems which had 2 sides either can go and need to get there asap or cannot go at all they did some test and came back it is down to the diabetes and funny enough this was the same answer they came back with my bladder, so i thought i went through a 7 hour op to be worse than i was. Then i thought that was being selfish as someone had lost someone they loved just so i could complain, at the start of the year i was told by the mental health team i see that they would not see me anymore as this was as good as it was going to get but the truth was they had a funding cut but do tell anyone so i have been passed around from here to there. I had a meeting with the man who did my transplant and was telling him that i had a letter asking when i would be fit to work which he said not for a long time if ever and to tell them to contact him if they needed any advice. So that means i am 41 and looks like i have took early retirement which is not something that i did not want to here. The consultant said Peter look at you, you cannot go back to to your old job as a groundworker as there is heavy lifting, you cannot sit down for very long due to pain and numbness and when you go for a interview he did not think that there would be many people who would employ me. I did say that i had two children to look after which he said see you have a job but as i told him that it would be nice to get out of the house on days when i feel ok. So he said we always need people to train the new doctors on which made me laugh i told him do you not think i spend enough time here. It has been a strange year but the kids are doing well at school and my son who is 12 is as tall as me and i am 5f 7in and is built like a tank and i have watched a few kids bounce off him when he is playing football and also when he was stopping at my dads who is in a wheelchair and the kids in the garden would not get out till my son went out and told them to shift. One of them said there are 6 of us and only one of you to which he said just come one at a time and he is a loving kid. my youngest daughter who is 14 now thinks she is 21 and the 23 year old one thinks that her monthly pay only has to last 3 weeks as i can pay for the other week. Then again without them and my family and friends i may have given up ages ago but i am still here to see what lies a head in 2018, I just hope that i do better than Sunderland are doing. To all you great people Happy New Year and remember the good days and not the bad.

It would have been nice if you put some paragraphs in that wall of text, so it makes it easier to read for my old eyes.

When faced with "walls of text" I paste them into Word, then add the paragraph breaks myself before reading. Having just done this for the post by @leahkian I might as well save others the work. I hope the OP doesn't mind!
