I agree with @Indy51. Cutting the carbs could have a hugely positive effect on your bs.

I was in a similar situation to you quite a few years ago, and then started take insulin to manage my bs.

If only I knew then what I know now. Cutting the carbs could actually reverse your needs for meds entirely
