Does linggliptin increase neuropathy.
I have just gone back onto it after recent poor HB1ac. And I have tingling in right thigh again after at least 6 months without it.
Hi. Linagliptin is one of the Gliptin family and helps reduce blood sugar after meals so should help reduce neuropathy over time and not increase it? Does the leaflet say this is a side effect?
It shouldn't, it reduces the glucagon and affects insulin production, it is an inhibitor, it should reduce neuropathy.
Go back to your GP, and maybe another Gilpin will stop the side effect.
Are you doing anything else to get your blood glucose levels down and in control?
