One possibility is the 13.8 is a rebound following a hypo... maybe it's worth reducing your basal and testing every couple of hours through the night?Hi, I was diagnosed in March and have had pretty good BG since then. My HbA1C after being diabetic for three months was 7.2, which he said was fine. However, I am having a lot of trouble recently. My blood sugars are all over the place. I can go to bed at 6.7 and wake up at 13.8, even if I have had no food. So naturally I up my basal by a tiny bit, and this time I go to bed at 7.2, again no food, and wake up at 2.4 at 3 in the morning. I purchased a freestyle Libre recently, only one sensor, and it seems to show that my sugar always goes low in the night, but it always steadily rises back up for no reason. What can I do?
@DobbieTheElf have you done any basal rate testing? Here's a guide on how to do it - https://mysugr.com/basal-rate-testing/
When your libre has shown you going low overnight have you done anything to address that? Have you done any finger prick testing to confirm the lows the libre shows?
