Hi all,
I wondered if any of you attend local diabetes support groups. I'd like to share my experiences with others and just refresh on things I learned a long time ago. I've never been to one, but would like to help the community both in person and participate in fundraising, as I work for the railway and there are 33,000 staff in my company and I reckon I could raise quite a bit. I've spent last week by building up my general fitness and stamina, as it can be easy to be tied to the desk/computer all day. There's a load of canal walks in birmingham and I spend an hour each day walking briskly, shin-splints and all to help lose that extra bit of weight. My BMI is 26 and I want that perfect 25, vain I know. Now it's lighter of an evening I'll walk the poor dog for a few miles after work as well
she loves it! So, does anyone go and does anyone know of anywhere in the west midlands, please? I just want to know how valuable they are and what to expect. Thanks all. Stay well. (BTW, pefect readings today and most of last week when I startes carb-counting, it works! Shame my care team never told me about it, I had to ask last wednesday)
