I present to you... THE BACON & CHEESE STUFFED PIZZA BURGER!

I want it so badly... I know I shouldn't but I do. Anyone want to guesstimate the carbs? (Although other than the pizza base...is it really that bad?)

Oh dearie dearie me, I am drowning in my own juices here! :? Would this actually cause me to drop in my tracks, I think not :) , and future health problems are paling into insignificance! That is a cruel, cruel post, :lol: and I do believe that in the freezer I may have the makings! :twisted:
 
I'm glad I don't like pizza. If I go to Pizza hut with daughter and granddaughter, I have a mega salad
You can make a mock pizza on one of the low carb wraps that the specialist shops on-line sell.

All those cals,carbs and fat is a dietitian's worst nightmare! But man, what I would give for a bite... :wink:

I ate my first pizza over 40 years ago on my first visit to Italy and I've been eating them ever since so now I've become very picky about my pizzas. Pizza Hut should be sued under the Trades Description Act - those disgusting things they sell bear about as resemblance to a real pizza as horse manure does to caviar. A proper pizza should have a paper thin, crispy pastry base onto which the cook lovingly spreads tomato sauce and Mozarella cheese. Then he arranges the toppings, which can be anything your heart desires. It should then be slid into a wood burning oven for a few minutes. When it is placed on a plate in front of the eater, he (or she) should drizzle a little spicy oil over it. When you cut into it, the base should be thin and light with a slight resistance to the knife, and a moment later to the teeth.
Pizza was first created in the Naples area and the base is traditionally thin because the people were so poor they had to make their flour go a long way, though they had plenty of tomatoes and cheese. If the base thin enough, even a diabetic can enjoy it without the BGs going sky high - though they will rise a little.

That's really kind of you but I'm Jewish so I must gracefully decline! There will be more for everyone else though.
 
Make it with THIS crust:

Low Carb Pizza Crust
================
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:
1.5 C flax seed meal
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon oregano
Sweetener to equal about 1 Tablespoon of sugar
3 Tablespoons of oil
3 eggs
0.5 C water
Preparation: Preheat oven to 425 F.

Mix dry ingredients together.
Add wet ingredients, and mix very well.
Let sit for about 5 minutes to thicken.
Spread on pan (I put it on a silicon mat or greased parchment paper).
Bake for 15-18 minutes until cooked through, then add toppings and cook until they are done.
(Try adding garlic, Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese to the mix.)

Make it thin n' crispy!!!

pizza is definitely my fave food, this pizza burger looks sick! nothing wrong with a slice of this every once in a while is there?

but when we're cured count me in for a big old slice!

haven't had a deep pan pizza since being DB but thin bases seem ok on the BG (and i agree they're nicer), i never seem to spike after em.
