Having just moved back to the UK from the Netherlands I've been issued with a cupboard full of new kit including a pump. Even after ensuring that I keep enough spare kit to cover all eventualities, I still have a bagful of surplus hardware (various pens including an Innovo and 2 Lilley Memoirs, a meter etc. etc.) I can't bring myself to chuck all this expensive equipment away. I could bung it all on ebay, but does anybody know of a charity helping diabetics who live in countries with less provision than us fortunate western Europeans who might be able to put this stuff to good use?
If so could you please send me some info.
Thanks
Peggy

Hi Peggy,

Very thoughtful of you to consider using your unused equipment in this way. I don't know of any charity I'm afraid, but you could try getting in touch with Diabetes UK who may know of such a organisation, just type Diabetes UK in the google search for their website and contact information.

Try The International Insulin Foundation (IIF) ...they might be able to point you in the right direction.
