Any ideas on what to Have? X
Many type1s have porriage with a set amount of insulin to give them a reliable start to their challenging day.
If you use that as a basis then adjust from there. Remember if your still honeymooning you will get some wacky results til your pancreas knows what it's doing.
There is an excellent book called 'think like a pancreas'. I find it a huge help with insulin management.
Be patient with your pancreas, its struggling. Any help you give it, all helps.
I don't eat porriage for breakfast but have used it to support a hypo in poor days. I eat protein bread, toasted and a poached egg. Most mornings. However I'm the oposite to you so you need something quick to digest but tick you along. Wholemeal bread does that but fat with it can slow it down more. Be sparing with butter but butter is far healthier than processed margarine. So your eating right for a type1. Stick to same breakfast to see your naughty pancreas' s reaction.
Remember other influences out there.
Stress, heat, cold and viruses.
I'd hold as much data about your bodies reaction to your trusted foods. You will need them over and over again.
Get those food reaction working for you.
What reaction you get can be unique. Save the data to use when naughty pancreas is being difficult, to give you peace of mind. You are doing all you can.
You can tackle your naughty pancreas til it's more reliable by using insulin and food the only way you know.
This period won't last forever.
