hi, i am currently taking janumet twice a day ,max dose and 1000 mg of glucophage as well, i am suffering from constipation and weight gain which i shouldnt be i know . i am thinking of asking the doc to put me on victoza as i heard its a good alternative and people loose weight on it ,i havent lost any weight on glucophage and if i even stray slighty from my diet the weight quickly piles on, what i would like to know is what side affects are associated with victoza ,has anyone had any problems with it ,am i making the right decision in asking for it and asking for glucopahge to be reduced to a more manageable dose or eliminated ,i dont understand why i havnt lost any weight with it at all ,can you get hypos with victoza ? i am at the stage where i am considering letting my blood glucose levels rise a bit to avoid any further weight gain ,not good i know ,so any advice would be appreciated .what other alternatives would i have that dont cause weight gain ?
janumet will increase insulin if glucose levels drop too low acording to label, wont that not increase weight gain ?
i really cant understand why i cant loose weight with these meds and why i have constipation (i can literally feel the weight going on )instead of the opposite like many others.
