Four years ago I had severe pancreatitis and was in hospital for several days.
10 months later I had my gall bladder removed.
For two years I ate a virtually fat free diet but have gradually retintroduced fats over the last two years.
In September I was diagnosed with T2 diabetes.
I have been really been careful not to have too much fat in my diet, especially full fats, because it can make me feel quite sick and have other tummy troubles!!
However, now I see that many of you benefit from the LCHF diet and would like to try it more seriously.
Not really sure how its going to work, balancing the two together ... any ideas or thoughts, or even experiences?
Thanks a bunch!

slowly..slowly increase the fats, your liver will increase its bile production...there are also liver salts as a last resort

I would caution you to go very slowly.

Your body (everyone's body) will have a natural maximum tolerance - which may be more, or less, than you would like. The more gently and slowly you increase, the kinder you will be to yourself, and the better you will adapt.

Hi. Don't be confused by the LCHF accronym as many are. Yes, do Low-Carb but you don't need to go too far with increasing the fats. Just increase both fats and proteins to the extent that you feel full and have just enough calories.

Thank you everyone for your comments - and the link from you, Indy.
Much appreciated.
