Hello,
I was diagnosed type 1 in May (7 weeks ago). Before that, I was used to train and play water polo at very high level (professional). But I was hospitalised and passed all the education. Right now I am in "honeymoon period" and I don't use any insuline (both Lantus and Apidra). Two weeks ago I started to traing again in full tempo (that include usually 2-3 trainings daily , most often 2 inside the pool and 1 in gym). After starting I always got in the hypos and I increased number of crabs everyday but it didn't help. Also I lost more than 4 kg in that two weeks. I talked with my doctor and he said that it's too much. I know that I have lots of activities because my one avarage training include more than 3 miles of swimming. Right now i ate before training about 100 g of carbs and it's not enough because I almost always got in the hypo and I am losing weight. I don't know what to do. I am not sure if I incrase amount of carbs will that negatively affect on my blood glucose ? I really need advices because last thing I want to do is to reduce my practice.
