Loss If Appetite

Hello I posted here a few months back and found this site very helpful so I'm just here again to ask a question

Since being diagnosed as type 2 I have made changes to the way I live trying to follow a low carb diet and getting rid of junk food

But over the last 3 weeks or so I've had a sudden loss of appetite and often just feeling sick then on Sunday till Wednesday this week I just could not hold anything down feeling bloated Im feeling fine now but with the loss of appetite still like before I was sick

Could my diabetes be coursing this?

Personally, I have not experience loss of appetite due to diabetes.
However, in the last 3 weeks, I have certainly felt less interested in food and have put this down to the heat.

I was originally on x1 500 in a morning and night then a month ago (today infact) it was increased to x1 500 in the morning and 2x 500 in the night

Will it go away or do I need to tell the doc about it ?

Hi. Metformin acts as an appetite suppressant and can also cause nausea etc. It usually settles after a few weeks but having the SR (Slow Release) version may help. I had the well-known Metformin metallic taste for around 6 months.
