Hi I have steriod induced diabetes which means when my steriods are low I can just be on one metformin tablet but when my steriods are high I can be on tablets and injecting insulin. I do have to say I have not posted on here b4 but I have been dipping in and seeing what people are saying. Diabetes is not my biggest health problem it dose come towards the bottom of the list. I did look at the 4 week programme diabetes uk is doing on lowing the amount of carbs u are eating and it helps lower blood sugar I read it but was a bit disappointed when it said now go for a 10 min walk big catch there I could go for a 10 min wheel but I don't think that is quite what is meant. I am also a wheelchair user so exercise is out of the question. I hate having diabetes. .I find it boring and very tedious having to do blood usages injecting etc. I can imagine a lot of u are saying what a prat I am. I find it hard to get some healthy care professionals to understand it is not type 2. I did do the Desmond course thing but did not find it very useful. I would like to try the low carbs diet to see if it would help especially when steriods are high. I am not sure it would but would be interested to try. I don't quite understand it all.
