I'm absolutely fine on low numbers, and always have been. I was a bit spooked the first time I saw a 3.7, I think it was, before bed, so did as you have done and asked here.
If I get very low, it's most usually as I'm about to eat, in whichever case, I just carry on and eat, which deals with it. If I make not about to eat, I just have a cup of tea, with a little milk, which just nudges the numbers up a bit. I don't do anything sugary.
I won't bother saying what my numbers are, because they're totally unimportant to you, in this context.
