Low but not hypo

hi rosie, sorry noone answered you last night, i know my answers late but if it was me it would depend how long till my next meal etc, if i was going to bed i would have a glucotab and a ryvita

That's okay, wasn't really worried just curious that's all. I had a glucose tablet and a scoop of Cheerios as I was off to bed. I was wondering whether or not I should have had the glucose tablet so glad to see you would have done the same.

I usually have a biscuit or two dipped in milk during the day. And then there are the times when I have everything lol :)

Hi Rosie, I usually have a jelly baby or a couple of rich tea biscuits, that seems to up my BG up to round about 5/6 ish, although I always have to put the packets away quickly to stop me eating anymore!! tee hee .. :)

I would only have something if I felt low, as 4.1 would still be OK....

Trying not to be greedy however is another story lol......

I definitely felt low, but that may have been because I was at 16 just an hour and a half before

Yeah I find it hard to stop eating once I've started when I'm low/hypo. It's so easy to lose control. I probably only stopped last night because I went to bed ☺️

Regardless if I've got IOB or not I wouldn't go to bed on a bg reading of 4.1mmmol, if it's a few hours after I'd last injected then I would just eat a couple of oat crackers.

Are you T1 or T2? 4.1 is a bit low and I would boost it up a bit if I was off to bed. Juice is my boost of choice but not too much of it as it's high in sugar. :)

I'm type 1. I find that fruit juice gives me mouth ulcers, has done for a long time but I still keep a stash just in case. I have glucojuice too.
