Hi all.
I have another question.quite like a sandwich but i am a newly diagnosed t2 and know bread is a big no no but if i got a bread maker is there a bread i could make that does not taste like a sweaty sock that I could make a sandwich with or toast and butter.

Thank you

Hi @Philb69 I use a seeded bread called Livlife, it's 3.8g of carb per slice and tastes great, available from Waitrose, Ocado & Budgens.

Hi juicyj

I don't like all the seeded stuff but could tolerate brown with no seeds. I know this is not good but i am looking for the closest thing to the good old fashioned white bread. I don't mind getting a bread maker and ingredients but I really am fussy. Will try livlife though

Thanks

There are various low carb bread mixes from The Protein Bread Co. here in Australia. I do not know if they export their products, but it might be worth your time to drop them a email and see if they do.

Its much easier (well I think it is) to avoid stodgy stuff like bread completely.
When you think about it it doesn't often taste good so I'd far rather have more 'filling" than the bread.
