Chris Knobbe's talk : Impressive result. Too bad that it is mainly based upon rodent studies, but at least they appeared to be well constructed rodent studies.
I think there is an interesting take on this by Dr Michael Eades too back in 2018:

Outside -In makes sense to me. Though I'm biased (I stopped taking Statins) plus I'm prepared to take Ivor Cummins' even handed treatment of both hypotheses at face value.
