Low Carb Foods to Take for a Hospital Stay

Slices of low carb zucchini bread is one of my “ go to” portable foods. I like it without butter too but I‘d think you’d be able to get butter there for it, if not maybe you could pick up a few of those little individual portion cartons to pack with you.
Also, pickled eggs, but I don’t have to be away from home for those either, just a fork standing by the jar!
You could make individual portions of low carb sugar or pudding for your “ boys” to bring in.
I hope the surgery goes well for you.

I'm quite proud of these ham and egg muffins. They are about 1 carb and freeze well. I'm thinking if someone brings two or three in a cool bag to evening visiting it will make a fine hospital breakfast.

Maybe I should notify the forum of my op date, when I get it, as I’ll be in a similar position with strong painkillers too!
As promised I said I’d tell you all of my op date, well it’s this Thursday 9th. So you may have to suffer morphine tinted posts from me later this coming week! :wacky:

Good luck on Thursday, @Rachox . Hopefully this round will nail it (pun-ish intended).

I have my, hopefully, final review for my recent finger op on the 17th, although the surgeon seemed to be taking an interest in a finger of my other hand last time.

Hey ho. At least this guy seems interest - unlike my GP, whose response to everything is,…… “As we get older……..”. At this rate, he’ll be lucky to become too much older, but running a QRisk score is obviously the answer to everything. He has run it 8 times in 12 months. I’ve only been in UK for 9 of the last twelve.
