I was all excited - got a butternut almond and pecan nut roast from Marks and Spencer. Finally, I thought, they are taking on board the low carb option.

Brilliant, I thought, I'll try it out beforehand and if it's nice get one for a low carb filler for Christmas dinner.

About to put it in the oven, and finally read the ingredients... includes bulgar wheat, dried apricots and SWEETENED cranberries!

And in a total aside, for balancing fat and carb to prevent spikes, maybe the Scots had it right all along... deep fried mars bar anyone ;)

If anyone has actually come across a readymade low carb Christmas dinner option please let me know - hubby is down with flu and I'm hot on his heels, so scratch cooking is out (turkey too at this rate!).

I have no idea. I'm Scottish so will obviously be frying Mars Bars for dinner :bored:

Ummm, wish I could help... Sprouts, chestnut and bacon loads of butter?
Have you tried the foodie forum?

It was on a facebook keto diet group I am member of.. avocado chips wrapped in bacon deep fried in beef fat.

Maybe you could buy a pre-cooked turkey / crown and strategically use a small portion of the nut roast as a side alongside something green (sprouts perhaps).
