Yes, Chinese os the most difficult takeaway option for low carbing.
These days any takeaway (or eat in) meal seems to give me gastric issues in the night and day after (indigestion and bloating are the least!) Even if I've chose lowest carb options
Personally, and with no proof, I think its to do with the cooking oil used, or thickeners or flours, used. My body simply doesn't tolerate then any more.
You can reproduce similar flavours at home, or if its the experience of not cooking, go for Indian or even a good burger (5 guys, lettuce wraps, no fries) instead .
And, in time, you'll find your cravings for such "treats" do go away.
Alternatively, doing it once may satisfy the itch, and the results after act as a future deterrent. There's no rules, you work out what's right for your body
