Hi
For the past week or so I have experimented with the low carb diet.
It seems now though that I don't have the energy levels that I used to I was recently diagnosed with T2 so all this is new to me,
Any suggestions please just need a pick me up

our bodies use carbs for energy, if you cut out carbs your body will need an alternative source of energy.....fat

Yes, ensure that you have enough fat and protein to provide enough calories. It takes a while for the body to get used to burning fat (and protein) rather than carbs so perhaps be patient

Give it another week or two! There is a changeover process where your muscles "readjust" to burning fat rather than sugar. Some people get headaches and tiredness but it should clear up a few weeks after starting the diet.

If you've cut a lot out of your diet there is also a risk that you're not getting some important nutrients, but seeing as you've only been on it a week I doubt this is the problem. Do be aware that you need to eat a balanced diet!
