What help are you looking for NicolaAnne ?

Hello, if you read my other thread it explains there :) I just need to be more healthy I think but I am struggling!

I quick glance at the thread and I see there's been a few suggestions for the tiredness Nicola yet not one of them could be right, the only way you'll get an answer and possible treatment is to go to your gp and ask for tests, you do have to keep in mind that we are only fellow diabetics on the forum and the advice we give is based on our own experiences, none of us are medically qualified to give a proper diagnosis and it's always best to seek a professional opinion.

That is true I guess! but i do know that I am NOT healthy enough :( but thank you!

Hi. There is a lot of info on this site for a good diabetic diet and many of us can reply to this post with suggestions if you would like that. Having the 'right' diet will certainly be a the basis for being healthy together with exercise. I'll be honest when I say my reaction to those who post that they are tired is that the tiredness is possibly nothing to do with the diabetes but from many other causes as well as being a bit depressed and so on. I'm not saying the tiredness is imaginary but that you may need to look beyond diabetes for the solution. You are right though that diet is a very good place to start so do let us know if we can help with food/meal suggestions. BTW, is your weight in the normal range?

Hello, Yes I do sometimes think I could be anaemic as I suffer from very heavy periods but I dont know, and I would like meal tips etc please! And as for my weight, my BMI says I am very overweight but I dont look it because I am quite tall, so I carry it well but I would love to lose some weight!
