I'm on a carb budget of around 30g per day. I use myfitnesspal to work out what my macronutrients are. Have a look in the tread that @DeejayR posted for meal ideas. If you go very low carb you will need to start blousing for some of your protein and fat. Happy to help with that if necessary.
As a Type 1, it would be worth trying a reduced carb diet first - around 150g per day to see how you get on. You current insulin:carb ratios would remain the same at that level and you'll see some benefit from reduced insulin and spikes. You can always decide to go lower later if you want to try it.Thanks Robert, I'll take all the help I can get

Any chance you could get on a Dafne course?I don't currently do carb counting Robert, my insulin is just a set dose at meal times hence why I'll be working on a trial and error basis. My DSN is far from a great support so Internet research and this app is my main support function

Hi @kimkennedy89 ,
I know that mums don't get much free time but wondered if you would be interested in an online carb counting course?
