Has anyone experienced low platelets caused by their diabetes?

I have been type 2 for coming up to 7 years but my platelets are bang on where they should be, and have been throughout.

Hi, I had to have a platelets transfusion during an emergency C - section, I have type 1 diabetes.

No I haven’t been told it is due this this. Things are trying to be eliminated the diabetes being one.
