Lowering my dosage

Hi, doctor took me off 850mg of metformin last week and cut down the dosage of gliclazide down to one tablet of 40mg a day.
My Bg is always around 5 to 7, with just once to 8.6.
Is this called the honeymoon period?

The phrase 'honeymoon period' is to the best of my knowledge, usually reserved for T1's but I'm open to being corrected on that.
