Lucozade

The first thing to remember is that we are all different and what is suitable for some does not suit other due to taste/life style/convenience/out body.
Some people find a liquid such as fruit juice or soda or Lucozade.
Some people find something solid such as fruit pastilles or jelly babies easier to carry around.
I find sweets are too tempting to people without diabetes and they melt if I leave them in the car
Dextrose is common.
I prefer Lift tablets because they come in plastic (reusable) tubes.
Some people don't like the chalky texture.

So, to answer your question: for some Lucozade is a good hypo treatment (although since the recent sugar tax it has less sugar than it did 5 years ago) and others prefer other treatments for hypos.
It is best to find what works for you and like many things related to diabetes, this may take some trial.

great thanks

I used to use lucozadw all the time for hypo treatment but since sugar tax the only soft drink that hasn’t reduced it’s sugar content is coke cola, I now use the mini cans which have the recommended 15g of fast acting carb required to treat hypos ! Plus due to size there not a lot to drink , personally I works very quickly for me but as previously stated we are all different
