Hi peeps,

I've heard that there are some ready meals in m&s that are ok if you dont have a chance to prepare anything.

As i am a newbie has anyone tried any..Does anyone know which ones are ok? Low carb or slow releasing. Thank you xx

M&S Main for Two - Chicken, Leek and bacon has 2.2g carb per half pack. There are two other variations to this range that are equally low in carbs. I think one has ham and the other mushroom. I always keep some in the freezer as I find them delicious and I only have to add fresh veg.

Hi. Yes, M&S do a 'Balanced Carb' range which are quite tasty and really are low-carb. I think they've done a really good job in breaking the excessive carbs in prepared food.

Hi there. I think the ones you mean are the 'balanced for you' range. I am prediabetic so still quite new to it all but have had these and have managed to stay within normal range. I've been impressed by them and they are useful when as a full time working mum I need to turn a meal put quickly. All I can suggest is you try them and monitor your levels to see the effect. Everyone is different.

The bes thing you can do is check out the nutritional content, choose which you think are suitable, then test immediately before and 2 hours after eating. This way you'll find out which are the best for you.

What about preparing extra portions and freezing these for when you don't have much time, too? It doesn't usually take much longer to do this.

Thanks, you're right it is 'Balanced for you'
