So, paul does have a point here.

Agree with this suggestion and approach lucy.lucylocket61 said:another suggestion:
More posting is done by pm to either aggrieved parties or to notify the admin.
more use of the ! button with an explanation to the mods.
then a lot of angst will be kept off the boards.
of course, this also mean that the mods will need to be more engaged and pro-active.

It's close to being fair. They replied to paul_c and there was a collective sense of 'maybe you should look a bit further into the benefits of low carb'.
I think this would be a rounder way of looking at it.

That's a slightly different tone, that puts a whole new spin on it. While the written word is flat, and not always easy to interpret as the writer would like, there are ways of making it easier, based on the words you use, and this post, and your initial post sound very different in tone. I would also suggest all newly diagnosed look deeper into the benefits of low carb, that is exactly part of the common purpose of this forum.
Anyway, thank you for the reply.

Let's not start a row on this of all threads, but I repeat, low carbers (which I ain't) don't need to stick to "their own forum" unless you're telling us they do? It's just that low carbers should avoid the non-low carb forum and vice-versa. All other forums are open to all members, although I would refrain from commenting on queries regarding insulin use. I agree with lucy on this.
Robinredbreast said:Mileanas thread started off as it was supposed to do, we have all read it, an excellent positive post. But now it has started a ' you said that' ' er no I didn't'( not the members actual words though) . Its going down that slipperly path. In the begining the thread was full of great comments and in agreement with what Mileanna had written.
Someone suggested sending pm's to other parties, but what would that achieve? the offending member needs to put their views across, so that everyone can see what they have written, and typing a pm out of sight from the rest of the forum, probably wouldn't work.
Mileanna's thread was a very positive one, with about 3/4's of the people in agreement writing good positive comments. That's how it should be and to try and keep it that way.
I have just thought of a moving boxing match 'smilie' so that 2 members can have a good old bout, and slog it out  just a thought that popped into my head.
Trying to be positive RRB I have just seen a couple more posts. DON'T PEOPLE EVER LEARN on here. STOP
Mileanna don't be disheartened

Just seen the 'boxers' where on earth did you get that from :?: but that is just what I was thinking of

I hope you don't mind me making a suggestion please.
There have been calls on here yet again that the thread is being disrailed. If those who feel that this is the case press the alert button, then it will be highlighted to a mod.
Failing that, I see Benedict is online. As he is administrator, I would suggest that thoise who are unhappy bring the contents of this thread to his attention so he can see where the derailments are.
No arguments then is there. :?:
