Sometimes getting the jab can make you poorly for bit.
Yes the medics say you may have a slightly raised temperature for a few hours after the jab. If you feel unwell after that then it is due to something else. Hope you feel better in time for ChristmasWell had it done in October!
So not that, but it did raise a little but not much.
Thanks Jey!The weather surely isn't any help! With these temperature ( like spring) the bacteria and virus spread quickly. Get well soon and take care
Thanks Brun! The flu jab only protects you from the specific virus (just one, I think, unless they have improved it recently), that they predicted would be prevalent, this winter.
Since they have to make the prediction months in advance in order to produce enough vaccine to go around, and because viruses mutate at unpredictable rates, it is even possible that the vaccine won't work with that particular virus.
It certainly won't stop you picking up any other colds, viruses, even other flu strains (there are several going round in any one year).
So if you feel dreadful it still might be any one of several different things...
Take care of yourself, and get well soon, noshy.
yup. it got me last week.
Mind you, since mine is Woman Flu, and therefore not a figment of my imagination, it has been very entertaining watching Mr B's reaction. I am banned from the kitchen, the kettle and food prep (for fear of infecting him), he is making all my drinks, snacks and meals, plus he has been using antibac wipes on doorhandles, taps and the toilet flush!
