Your thoughts make sense to me!Oh it’s late and my head is spinning now and I can’t make sense of it. I’ll come back tomorrow and see if I can work out what I’m saying or if anyone else has.
And they are only thoughts, not a scientific paper which needs proper proof.
I have a feeling (but nothing very certain!) this is exactly what happened for me, although there might be many pathways of course. I might have been well on my way to T2 when the LADA hit.How else would an early LADA not yet on insulin become insulin resistant with ever decreasing amounts of said insulin if it hadn’t already happened.
Not too worried about it. I can manage very well on a combination of insulin and lowish carb, and while I somtimes envy my true T1 friend who can inject for things like donuts without spiking, I count my blessings in that I can use insulin for highs and occasional high carb meals where the T2's on diet or orals can only sit it out.Though I’m sure you’d rather it wasn’t a possibility for you.
I'm also afraid I'm wandering very much off topic, bedtime for me as well!
