Thank youI have, at times, been sent to hospital by ambulance at the request of my GP, when I had what he considered an urgent problem. At A&E, they do take you a bit more seriously when you arrive that way. Sometimes I have to fight for my health, because no one else will. Even if it's inconvenient for the doctors concerned.
If you have a fall, or some other serious symptoms develop, you're not being dishonest when you call an ambulance or go to A&E. Please don't downplay your symptoms when you speak to doctors (other than your GPs, who know how urgent your need is). You wouldn't be jumping ahead of other patients with greater need.
Do you have a team who are available to help you regarding bipolar? Maybe they could write a letter about all this, because a case could be made that the added stress is not good for you.
Hang in there Ally, here are some more hugs.
I do have a psych but the last two appointments that I had with him, I cancelled them both. I just couldn"t go as I had had enough of doctors. Am supposed to see him on the 27th.
