My husband is T2 and on tablets. I would just like to know how many times a year do you have to go and see your DN or doctor for reviews and check ups

As a type two you should have a yearly review. Also other checks such as eye and feet are yearly.
But there is nothing stopping you making an appointment to see your GP or dsn if you need to.

He saw the nurse back in February this year when he was diagnosed , and then again last month where she checked his feet. hes got to go again in May , just wondered if this was normal.

Yes, quite normal. The guidance is for 3 monthly blood tests initially, increasing to 6 monthly once meds and BS levels have stabilised, then some surgeries change it to 12 months, although not all. (Mine doesn't. I stay on 6 months forever, as far as current practice is concerned). Last month will have been an extra just for the foot checks etc.

I also have one every six months - unfortunately the last one was a waste of time because they didn't test my hba1c although my random BS was 4.1 which I was told was good!!
