I was diagnosed type 2 a few years ago and to be honest I haven't done as much as I can towards alleviating the illness.
After buying a test meter I have been taking irregular readings but mainly 1st thing in the morning and before and after eating to see how certain foods affected me.
This morning I took a reading of 11.7 before eating drinking anything, an hour and a half after a bowl of greek yoghurt with a small amount of Asda mixed fruit and nuts it is reading 17.8.
It always reads double figures (apart from the odd occasion).
I am not sure whether to be worried about the high readings (nd I am guessing that the high reading today was due to the fruit in the breakfast).....
What readings should I be aiming towards?
Any help would be gratefully received.
