Metformin and weight gain thoughts

My experience so far (only four weeks) has been that my appetite has lessened since starting Metformin. I guess it can affect different people in different ways?

Metformin totally took my appetite away I just did not want to eat at all. I lost quite bit of weight trouble was I did not need to never been overweight in my life my doctor told me to reduce the Metformin to a level that my appetite came back I had to get down to 500mg of the SR version once a day before I could eat properly again but I still have a smaller appetite than before. I have not put the weight I lost back on again and my doctor says I am a bit underweight now I am 5ft 4in and just under 8 stone

Oh that's difficult, I still have an appetite and I have plenty of weight to loose yet!
