Metformin S/r

Hi all,
Sorry to keep asking questions,but still new to this
2 months ago i was diagnosed with t2.. was put on metformin 500 1 per day for the 1st week,2 for the second week,3 on the 3rd week....but i couldnt get in with them,i was constantly on the toilet....dr took me off them...
Went to see diabetic nurse last week and was put on metformin 500 s/r..1 tablet per day...and to stay on that dose until my next appointment(2 weeks away)my bs this morning was 9.5 before breakfast,didnt check it 2 hrs later as i forgot...but i still feel that i could sleep for a week,got no energy at all
Since getting out if bed,i have sat on the sofa....im quite dizzy to
How long do metformin take to kick in and should i be feeling this tired?

Metformin only helps a tiny bit with reducing bloods sugars, so have you modified your diet since diagnosis to help too? I notice from another of your posts that you’ve started on Statins, they can make you feel poorly too. It might be worth considering discussing how necessary they are for you or see if you can trial a couple of weeks without them to establish if they are causing your symptoms?

If b12 low could cause tiredness
