Hi. I'm on modified release Metformin, 2 x 500mg twice a day, but i am finding on occasion that they are passing through me without dissolving. Gross i know, but does anyone else have this problem? I do seem to get tablets from different manufacturers, and the cylindrical ones seem to be more prone to it than the round ones.

As far as I'm aware they aren't meant to dissolve, they only absorb and are meant to pass through the body.

Hi. This is normal for the Slow Release version so don't worry.

Oh dear - I've never seen any evidence of this happening with my SR capsules, but then I've never actually chosen to look either....

PS I hope the (sensible) replies have reassured you that this is normal, though!
