That was always my plan went extremely low calory and low carb lost over six stone including unfortunately a lot of muscle mass now building back muscle slowly.
yes is sad when people loose their muclemass when we in fact neéd them more than others to store our sugars..
I havent lost muclemass luckily, maybe men does it more easy on very low calorie-diet, I didn´t dare to go 800 calories right away, maybe thats why I didn´t loose mucles... so started at 1000 calories
but I was so far out of form (108,8kg) and hardly ever used my mucles , so it was like from Black to White when getting the chock of getting diabetes, (well the feeling was Black, but White is was to start getting to move some again)
The first 3 weeks I was happy just to walk 3-4 kilometers every second day(totally excausted), thereafter I walked most every day too obese to do sports, then I became able to walk 6-9 kilometers most every day, and then when at 95 kg´s I started doing fitness 2 times a week
After 2 weeks there I started up doing heavy cardio-training like 2 x 25 minutes on a step maschine on the highest level I was able to manage and still keep my promise of 2 x 25 minutes , and there I am now, the days not training i do get out for walks of about 5 kilometers. except for one day a week.
