Some people do, usually gastric upset. I had side effects for a week to ten days when I first started it, but nothing since then and that was five years ago. If you can’t tolerate the standard version it’s worth asking for the sustained release ones instead as in some they are tolerated better.

Yeah I’ve had some but now I’m on emphaglozin aswell that seems to have calmed it down a bit.

I did initially, but it calmed down after 2-3 weeks.

Did have that's why mine went in the bin after 3 weeks of being tied to the toilet.

I'm doing fine with metformin as long as I take it with food.

I never had any problems with metformin when I was on them several years ago.

I had been taking metformin for about 13 years, but my kidney doctor told me to stop taking it about 3 moths ago. Never had any side-effects that I know of.
